Current Cover available in Waterstones, I chose this cover to look at as, like the others it is illustratively lead.

This book of short stories is made up of two 'Virago book of fairy Tales'. It is a tribute to Angela Carter who edited the book.It is available in Waterstones and I found it very useful for illustration because it includes Internal spots too.The graphic styling is print.
I loved the illustrations on this cover produced by Roxanna Bikadoroff go to this link http://roxannamundi.ca/books/index.htm to see her website, I have included more of her illustrations in other posts because Bikadoroff helped me to understand character and colour and I loved how imaginative her work is, Bikadoroff also created the type for this cover. The fairy tales in this book, which informed her Illustration aren't meant for children and I feel her work captured it well. I feel the tone of voice is fantastical and imaginative.
I liked the way Bikadoroff focuses on the female characters more to reflect the USP which is the fact it is the largest women's imprint in the world. To visit her website follow this link http://roxannamundi.ca/ this shows how she markets herself through her portfolio work and also shows a list of her clients. The Website appears to be another way for her to get comissions.
This book also contains internal spot illustrations by Corinna Sargoode. A British illustrator who has illustrated a few Virago books and covers.I have found some of these for inspiration for the internal spot I am currently working on, they are strong examples of black and white Illustrations.
