This is published by Penguin (another prestigious client), this shows the variety of book jackets in the market. I am more interested in Virago at the moment as they are the intended client of the brief given but as you probably know, penguin is an incredibly well know publisher and will be another one of Virago's and Little Brown Book group's competitors.
I looked at this one because it is written by two female authors and could compete against the Virago covers because it is very feminine and women would buy this. I thought this illustration managed to portray a sophisticated femininty which is something i would like to do. I thought this Illustration was beautiful!! It is published by Random House another dominant publisher.
